About the role

This is an exciting time to join NHS Digital’s Data Security Centre as we continue to invest in improving the cyber resilience of the products we deliver to front line NHS organisations and developing the expert guidance we are able to provide directly to these organisations on a daily basis.

As part of the role you will be responsible for

•    Primarily focusing on the provision of expert cyber security consultative advice and guidance to those responsible for delivering NHS Digital products and services
•    Maintaining a section of the Cyber Design Authority’s (CDA’s) policy and standards suite of documentation, ensuring that existing guidance remains current through periodical update. The CDA documentation suite is adhered to by all of those responsible for delivering products and services for NHS Digital
•    Represent the Specialist Security Services (S3) team at broader NHS Digital Technical Design Authorities, providing SME advice and guidance on the security aspects of future work
•    Line Management responsibility for 3 Cyber Security Consultants and 2 Senior Cyber Security Consultants, to include tasking, report writing and objective setting
•    Deputise for the Cyber Security Lead in their absence

About you

•    Degree level qualification or equivalent level of experience
•    Evidence of continuous professional development in the field of Cyber Security 
•    Experience of Team leadership and management
•    Hold industry qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC
•    Knowledge of the NHS
•    Membership of professional body such as ISACA/ISC2 desirable
