This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of NHS digital health services. Designers with experience applying user-centred design methods are needed to discover, define, develop and deliver essential services for both health professionals and the public.

As a trusted member of the NHS Digital design capability you will work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams which deliver large scale design systems and digital services. The services you work on could give patients and citizens more control over their health and wellbeing, empower carers, and reduce the administrative burden for care professionals.

At NHS Digital, our designers have a range of specialisms, including service design, interaction design and graphic design, or often a combination of these. For this role, we are interested to hear from candidates with experience in interaction or service design.

All of our designers:

• Confidently and competently develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes.

• Make good decisions and can recognise when to ask for further guidance and support.

• Contribute to the development of design concepts and can interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into their work.

• Explain ideas in a way that other people understand and constructively review the work of others.

We are looking for designers to work with us on a number of product teams in Leeds. In return, we offer a competitive salary, flexible working, a supportive working environment and opportunities to learn and develop your design skills and experience.
