About you

We seek to recruit Clinical Informatics Fellows who wish to gain real-world experience and expertise in clinical informatics and bring their clinical view to bear at a national level for a one-year secondment period.  You could be working in any context, we are not looking for any specific background. They will join the team of 50 clinicians working across the whole organisation.

Applications are open to individuals at AfC Band 6-7 (or equivalent) from a mix of professions.

These primarily being;

  • Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors

  • Pharmacists

  • Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)

  • Social Workers

You will :-

  • Be currently employed in a health or care setting, as a registered professionaland have current registration with the GMC, NMC, HCPC, GPhC

  • Have a real interest in the potential and value of clinical informatics

  • Have good communication skills in order to explain and justify a point of view objectively to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • An appreciation and insight of the role of health informatics in NHS and/or social care

  • Understand/experience of the basic principles of clinical governance, information governance, patient safety, human factors, and clinical quality improvement initiatives

  • Knowledge of an evidence-based care approach to care
