Registered Nurse –  Orthopaedics and/ or Neurosurgery

The Role:
Ramsay Healthcare is expanding in the North West of England with a day case hospital opening this Autumn. This expansion of services has provided an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse predominantly interested in Orthopaedics or Neurosurgery with the opportunity to be involved in caring for patients undergoing cosmetic surgery and some fast paced day case surgery.
We are looking for a nurse with existing knowledge or a passion to develop knowledge and skills in enhanced recovery pathways and day case / overnight joint replacement surgery. The successful candidate must be able to provide high quality holistic care and will be given the opportunity to learn and develop skills in other specialities. The hospital also offers the opportunity to work with patients undergoing a wide variety of procedures and all staff will be given the opportunity to develop clinically.
The hospital is involved with Student Nurse training and the successful candidate should have a relevant mentorship qualification or be willing to work towards this. Fulwood Hall believes that quality and governance is key to providing the best quality of care to our patients and all clinical staff are encouraged to be involved in clinical audit and effectiveness. Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a £9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site, making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.
The hospital has six consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room, a pre-assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.
Patient accommodation has been improved with the introduction of a day care facility providing individual, spacious accommodation for up to twelve patients in a clean, modern and comfortable environment, designed specifically for day care surgery.
