Ashtead Hospital is a fantastic place to work; our ward team are enthusiastic, experienced and motivated in providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a highly skilled individual that can contribute exceptional standards of care across a multitude of specialities. 

We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Ward Sister to join the Ward Team on a full time basis. We are able to support training and development to new candidates to deliver a high standard of clinical care whilst ensuring patient safety, dignity and confidentiality.

What you’ll do

  • Help lead the team by working closely with the Ward Manager.
  • You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes.

  • Demonstrate excellent and a high standard of clinical practice with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Prioritise patient’s health and wellbeing across a complex pathway and changing caseload.
  • Communicate delivery and outcomes of care to patients and to other members of the team.
  • Develop excellent working relationships.
  • Maintain excellent standards with infection control.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Registered nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Leadership experience within a Hospital environment.
  • Registered with the NMC
  • Recent post qualification surgical experience
  • Experience of a team approach to care delivery
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated Computer Skills
