Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse
Springfield Hospital has 6 operating theatres and following the completion of an exciting major development which has seen the hospital expand to accommodate 75 admitted patients comprising 56 single bedrooms, 3 twin rooms, a 3 bedded observation room and a day-case facility with individual accommodation for up to 15 patients. As a result of these exciting developments, we are looking to appoint experienced, flexible and highly motivated qualified Theatre Scrub practitioner to join our team as Ophalmic Scrub Nurse. We have most specialities in our very busy 6 theatre suite, including orthopaedic, spinal, ophthalmic, cosmetic and bariatric.
You will have proven and up to date Theatre scrub experience, an ASP qualification would be an advantage. You will report to the Theatre Manager.
Applicants must have excellent professional practice,communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of the Theatre team to achieve the hospital vision of 'Giving an outstanding experience of care'.
The applicants must have:
• Experience in general surgery with specialist knowledge in Ophthalmic surgery
• NMC / HCPC Registration
• Post Registration Qualifications/Courses
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
