An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Ashtead Hospital in Surrey. This is a highly respected hospital with an excellent reputation for the highest standards of care and service.

Reporting to the Business Administration Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate payment of Payroll, timely and accurate allocation and collection of all hospital debts.  This involves liaising with Heads of Departments, Central HR, Finance Manager, medical insurance companies, NHS bodies, patients and credit control agencies.  As Finance Assistant, you will take ownership and responsibility for these functions, ensuring that hospital targets are met.

We are looking for someone with previous Payroll and credit control experience ideally in a healthcare or data driven setting, who can demonstrate:

  • Sound numerical skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Accuracy and reliability
  • Professional and confident communication skills - in person and by phone
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
