Pinehill Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant, to join our experienced and dynamic team. Working with a wide variety of disciplines you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a supportive environment.

We have a flexible approach to managing hours, with no night or Sunday working and staff usually rostered one Saturday morning per month. There is the potential to agree part time hours for the right candidate. Set rate payments are made for on call and the rota usually requires staff to be on call one night a week and one weekend a month. Theatres are rarely re-opened with one member of staff called in twice in seven years.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Our theatre is a fast paced environment with 85% of our patients treated as day cases. You will work with members of the theatre nursing staff to deliver the highest standard of care, preparing the operating room for each operation and preparing equipment prior to each operating list to provide a high standard of individualised patient care and ensure compliance with national best practice standards.


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience within a hospital setting, will be a focussed and flexible with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment or with minimum supervision as required.

We have three main operating theatres performing a larger variety of surgery and a fourth theatre used for minor operations, therapeutic pain cases and endoscopy.
