OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT LEAD - 37.5 hours per week.
As a fast paced, quality health care provider Winfield Hospital is a 39 bed hospital located on the outskirts of Gloucester, delivering high standards of patient care to both private and NHS patients.
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and progressive clinical lead for our outpatient department. Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager/ Matron , you will be responsible for the strategic development and day to day management of the department. You will manage 6RNs, 4 HCAs and 1 admin support. Working closely with the hospital’s consultants and other Heads of Departments, you will play a key role in developing new services and promoting the business. You will lead on the recruitment, induction, performance review and mentoring of staff within the department and act as a positive role model.
The department has 10 consultation rooms, a treatment room, and a designated minor ops area and is open from 8am until 9pm Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturday mornings. Pre-admission is an integral part of the outpatient department and experience in this area is essential.
Your background will be clinical with recent relevant skills and experience with NMC registration. You will also have recent management experience or demonstrated ability to manage a team and you will be required to have good commercial and financial awareness.
