Tees Valley Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, is an independent hospital delivering a range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, gynaecology, dermatology, oral, ENT, endoscopy, to both private and NHS patients in a new purpose built facility


We are now inviting applications for the position of GP Liaison Officer, working across the North East. The position will be full time; field based, but will also include some office based hours. The post holder will report to the Hospital Director of the hospital.  To succeed in this role you will need to be commercially astute, a results driven individual, focused on business development.

Your duties will include:

  • Increase referrals to the hospital via General Practitioners, Practice Managers and across all referral channels i.e. Privately insured, self-pay and NHS
  • Identify new business opportunities with local GPs, Trusts
  • Organise and promote events within the hospitals and external venues
  • Effectively use promotional materials
  • Build positive relationships with GP's and other key stakeholders through a variety of mediums, including organisation and facilitation of a GP education programme.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Marketing or sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills and focus
  • Change management/continuous improvement experience
  • Previous hospital experience, knowledge of services and clinicians
  • Knowledge of Choose & Book and/or practice based commissioning (PBC)
  • Private Healthcare experience
