Physiotherapy Inpatient Team Lead – 37.5 hrs
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to be part of our teams in Woodland Hospital.
We are looking for an individual who would like to work within motivated and enthusiastic multidisciplinary teams. You will need the ability to be a role model, fostering a culture of development and leadership within staff and providing strong clinical leadership and direction within the physiotherapy department.

You will need to be innovative, be an excellent communicator and have strong organizational skills. You will require an ability to work flexibly, exploring ideas, and adapting practices to deliver more efficient prudent services in line with local and national drivers.

Leading a team of clinicians, you will motivate and inspire the team to constantly excel in delivering the best patient centred care, utilising the advanced decision-making and clinical reasoning skills to perform clinical interventions

As part of our enhanced recovery programme you will be expected to work a variety of hours between 8am and 8pm, including weekends from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to participate in the seven day and extended day service delivery rota.

You will undertake the measurement and evaluation of your work and current practices through the use of evidence based practice projects, audit and outcome measures, and lead others in doing so. Alongside this you will be involved with the supervision and appraisal of junior physiotherapy staff and therapy assistants.

This role is aimed predominantly at inpatient work but there will be some outpatient work as part of the role.


The successful candidate will:

The successful candidate will also work closely with physio manager helping with the governance and marketing of the department. You will also be expected to help grow activity, providing a cost effective and efficient service

You will need to have:

  • Post qualification experience with significant experience in, orthopaedic and general surgery and an excellent CPD record.
  • BSc Physiotherapy
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • Assess, diagnose and provide high quality individualised treatment programmes for patients, being sensitive to patients needs for dignity and privacy
  • MCSP or equivalent
  • HCPC membership
  • Working experience in the UK
