Theatre Practitioners - RN/ODP
Winfield Hospital

Job reference: 009221

Location: Winfield Hospital

Closing date: 31/05/2021

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Employment type: Permanent - Full Time

Hours per week: Part Time & Full Time Options

It's an exciting time at the Winfield Hospital - we are  currently looking to recruit  professional, enthusiastic and experienced theatre team members to expand our team.

Due to the increased amount of elective surgery generated by the COVID 19 Pandemic and working to assist the NHS with their waiting lists, we will be working 7 days a week

For your flexibility and commitment, we can offer competitive enhanced rates for working shifts on weekends, and overtime payments will be made to any staff member working over their contacted hours.

In order to staff our busy theatres, we require:

  • Recovery Nurse/OPD
  • Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP
  • Scrub Nurse/ODP

If you are an experienced Theatre Nurse/ODP wanting to take the next step in your career with a progressive, busy and friendly team - we would like to hear from you.

Whether you’re with the NHS at the moment or in a private setting, this is an opportunity to work autonomously, make full use of your skills and knowledge and add value.

You’ll know just how intense and challenging a theatre can be – and you’ll thrive on that pressure and be respected for your professionalism and expertise.

Our Theatre Department is extremely busy, working with Consultants from a wide range of clinical disciplines, including orthopaedics and cosmetics. You must be registered in the UK with your professional body and able to demonstrate current Theatre experience with the ability to work under pressure.

We are looking for Theatre Practitioners to deliver high quality, effective, evidence based patient care.

About your qualities and skills

As a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you’ll be registered with HCPC or NMC and have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You’ll also have post-registration experience working in this field.

You’ll be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team you’ll interact with colleagues on the ward because you understand the importance of continuity in patient care.

What we Offer

We offer Immediate Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Surgical first assistant training and the Laser and intense light source safety courses upon completion of the six month probationary period.

Benefits include a competitive salary, life assurance, healthcare insurance, contributory pension scheme, use of subsidised restaurant, uniform, free car parking and a commitment to your personal and professional development.
